The Admiral of the Fleet (ALFLOT), Excmo. Sr. D. Manuel Garat Caramé, has recently been visiting ABANCE's new facilities in El Puerto de Santa María.  The Admiral has learnt about the history of this family business which has just celebrated its 26th anniversary as well as some of the on-going projects for military and civilian vessels that ABANCE is developing for both national and international shipyards.

He then visited the robotic company Surcontrol which has been operating for ten years as a spin-off from the University of Cadiz. ABANCE is tightening business links with Surcontrol in the aim of jointly developing technological solutions for the naval and defense market.

The 58th Congreso de Ingeniería e Industria Marítima (Maritime Engineering and Industry Congress) took place in the city of San Fernando from 23rd - 25th October. It was organised by the Asociación de Ingenieros Navales y Oceánicos de España (AINE), (Association of Ocean and Naval Engineers in Spain) together with their regional office,  Delegación Territorial del Colegio de Ingenieros Navales y Oceánicos (COIN).

ABANCE Ingeniería y Servicios, S.L. is an engineering company working for the naval and defense sector at both national and international levels. ABANCE's 25th anniversary and the fact that the congress was taking place in Cadiz were key to the company collaborating as the main local sponsor for the 2019 edition.

We would like to congratulate both organizations for this excellent event, high degree of quality and professionalism in the presentations as well as for the pleasant atmosphere and friendliness between naval engineers and the important companies of the sector taking part in the congress.
